Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam – Transfer to Hotel

Arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport. Your WildMiles Safari guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome briefing and rest before heading into the wild south the next day.

Day 2: Dar – Fly to Nyerere NP (Selous) – Boat Safari

Catch a short bush flight to Nyerere National Park, Africa’s largest wildlife reserve. Upon arrival, settle into your riverside lodge and enjoy an afternoon sunset boat safari on the Rufiji River—watch hippos, crocs, and birdlife in abundance.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere NP

Explore this lesser-known gem with a full-day game drive. Nyerere is home to large elephant and buffalo populations, lions, wild dogs, and over 400 bird species. It’s wild, vast, and uncrowded—just how a safari should be.

Overnight: Same lodge or tented camp

Day 4: Walking Safari & Leisure

Start the day with a guided walking safari—perfect for tracking smaller game, learning about flora, and experiencing the bush at ground level. Afternoon at leisure with optional cultural visits or relaxing at camp.

Day 5: Fly to Ruaha – Afternoon Game Drive

Depart via bush plane to Ruaha National Park, known for its rugged landscapes and large predator population. Check into your eco-lodge and embark on your first game drive across the baobab-dotted plains.

Day 6: Full-Day Safari in Ruaha – Big Cats & Elephants

Day 7: Scenic Drive to Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Mikumi, passing traditional villages and rural landscapes. Arrive for a relaxing afternoon and sunset drive.
